Business English
with TOEIC Preparation is designed for students who already have well
developed English language skills, but want to refine these skills to
help themselves improve their career prospects, and use English more
effectively in the workplace. Students will improve their language skills
through studying a range of stimulating topics which people involved
in international commerce encounter regularly. They will also undertake
intensive TOEIC preparation because this test is used by many large
companies around the world as a measure of English proficiency in their
recruitment process.
Classroom activities
give students an opportunity to use English to carry out tasks they
would have to perform on a daily basis when working for companies with
an international focus. These include discussing a range of issues in
meetings, reading newspaper articles, writing different types of business
correspondence and working in groups to solve a variety of common business
problems. Students also examine in depth each of the 7 parts of the
TOEIC test and carry out a range of activities designed to help them
develop the skills necessary to maximize their test scores.
